Who we are
This site is operated by Oliver Rimmer Technology Consultancy - FZCO ("ORTC FZCO"), a company registered in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (licence no. 85654), trading as The Destination Wedding Manual. You can reach us any time at hello@destinationweddingmanual.com. The manual is co-authored with Lauren Portia of Lauren Portia Events, who is credited as co-author; ORTC FZCO alone operates this site.
Who sells you the book
Purchases are processed and fulfilled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record — your purchase contract is with Lemon Squeezy, under its own terms and privacy policy. Billing questions can go to Lemon Squeezy or to us; write to us and we'll help route them either way.
Your licence
When you buy the manual, you receive one personal, non-transferable licence covering you and your partner. Read it on your own devices and print pages for your own planning — that's what it's for. What the licence doesn't cover: sharing copies beyond the two of you, reselling, republishing, uploading it to any website or file-sharing service, or using its content to train AI systems or build derivative products. Each copy is individually licensed to its buyer.
Refunds
Exactly as promised on the front page: if the manual isn't useful, reply to your receipt within 30 days and we'll refund you — no questions, no forms. Refunds are executed by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer rights in your country that cannot be waived.
What the manual is — and isn't
The manual is general information for planning a wedding abroad. It is not legal, financial, tax, immigration or other professional advice. Marriage-law requirements change and vary by nationality — always verify current requirements with the relevant consulate, registry or a qualified professional before acting on them. Prices, ranges and budgets in the manual are illustrative, drawn from real data at the time of writing; they are not quotes. Your decisions — and your contracts with venues and suppliers — are your own.
Updates
This edition receives free content updates — including when prices and rules materially change, as promised on the front page; timing and scope are at our discretion. We aim to keep prices and legal pointers current, but we can't guarantee completeness at any given moment — which is one more reason the section above matters.
Other people's businesses
Venues, suppliers and Lauren Portia Events are separate businesses with their own terms; we're not responsible for their services. ItalianVenues.com is another ORTC FZCO site, governed by its own terms. Some links on this site or in the manual may earn us a commission — that never changes what you pay.
Using this site
Don't scrape, frame or misuse the site. The site and manual content are © ORTC FZCO and its co-author; the names and marks are ours. Nothing here grants any rights beyond the licence above.
Requesting Chapter 1 subscribes you to our email list. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Liability
To the extent the law allows: we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is capped at the price you paid. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. If you're buying as a consumer, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the law of your country of residence.
