The Destination Wedding Manual ("we") is published by Oliver Rimmer Technology Consultancy - FZCO ("ORTC FZCO"), a company registered in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (licence no. 85654) and the company behind ItalianVenues.com. ORTC FZCO is the data controller for this site. This policy explains what personal data this site handles and how. Questions or requests: hello@destinationweddingmanual.com.

What we collect

• Free chapter sign-up. If you request Chapter 1, we collect your email address to send it, followed by occasional emails about planning a wedding abroad — sent with your consent, via MailerLite, our email provider. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
• Purchases. The manual is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details in order to deliver the book, provide updates to your edition, and handle refunds.
• Anonymous analytics. We measure how the site is used with PostHog (hosted in the EU), configured without cookies or persistent identifiers — visits are anonymous events (including anonymised session replays, with form inputs masked), no personal profile is built, and nothing follows you between visits. Our hosting provider (Vercel) also counts visits and page views cookielessly and anonymously, and may briefly log IP addresses as part of ordinary server operation.
• Email to us. If you write to hello@, your message is routed by Cloudflare (which also provides our DNS) and delivered to our Google mailbox; we keep the correspondence for as long as it's needed to help you.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Analytics run without them (see above), and there's no advertising or cross-site tracking. If you buy the manual, the Lemon Squeezy checkout — which runs on Lemon Squeezy's own site — may use cookies for payment and fraud prevention under its own policy.

Aggregate statistics

This site displays statistics (for example, enquiry counts and percentages) derived in aggregate from venue enquiries made through ItalianVenues.com. These figures are anonymised: they identify no individual, and no personal data from those enquiries is published or shared.

How long we keep data

Email addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers needed to run this site: Lemon Squeezy (payments, as merchant of record, with Stripe and PayPal processing underneath), MailerLite (email delivery), PostHog (anonymous analytics, EU), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS and email routing) and Google (the mailbox behind our support address). Nothing is listed here that we don't use, and nothing we use is missing from this list. We never sell personal data.

Where data is processed

We operate from the UAE, and the providers above process data in the United States and the European Union under their own safeguards. By using the site you understand your data may be processed in those places.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict our use of it — we honour these requests for everyone, which covers the rights granted under the EU and UK GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws. Email hello@destinationweddingmanual.com and we'll respond promptly. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Children

This site is for people planning a wedding and isn't directed at children under 16; we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with an updated date.
