The Destination Wedding Manual ("we") is published by ORTC FZCO, the company behind ItalianVenues.com, which is the data controller for this site. This policy explains what personal data this site handles and how. Questions or requests: hello@destinationweddingmanual.com.

What we collect

• Free chapter sign-up. If you request Chapter 1, we collect your email address to send it, followed by occasional emails about planning a wedding abroad. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
• Purchases. The manual is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details in order to deliver the book, provide updates to your edition, and handle refunds.
• Anonymous analytics. We measure how the site is used with PostHog (hosted in the EU), configured without cookies or persistent identifiers — visits are anonymous events (including anonymised session replays, with form inputs masked), no personal profile is built, and nothing follows you between visits. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may briefly log IP addresses as part of ordinary server operation.

Aggregate statistics

This site displays statistics (for example, enquiry counts and percentages) derived in aggregate from venue enquiries made through ItalianVenues.com. These figures are anonymised: they identify no individual, and no personal data from those enquiries is published or shared.

How long we keep data

Email addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers needed to run this site — payment processing (Lemon Squeezy), email delivery, anonymous analytics (PostHog, EU), and hosting (Vercel). We never sell personal data.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict our use of it. Email hello@destinationweddingmanual.com and we'll respond promptly. You can also complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with an updated date.
